Thanks in advance,

Road trip. But are they the pulsing variety?

Actually I have friends in Keremeos who come down here all the time. May be worthwhile to get them to hook up with you in Penticton.

Pulsing, pulsing and they keep on pulsing. UGH!

Oooooooh, so jealous.

I know, even though I've been doing salt for quite a few years now, I am still a big fan of pulsing xenias (pom pom and reg.). It was one of the first species of corals we bought when we started reefing and I guess feeling nostalgic or something.

It's an oldie, but a goodie:biggrin:

I'm also looking for white pom pom xenias like these

If these are what you've got, do you ship? How much are you asking? Maybe Anthony and I can pool a shipment if he is interested.

Count me in as well :)

I had some pulsating xenia but they melted in my 34g tank for some reason, however everything seems to be very stable in the 75g (i think kalk water did the trick here). Regardless I'm in for a frag if possible.

Cheers,

hey, do you have a pic of your xenia? or a video?

people call the different strains by all sorts of names, so it'd be nice to verify which one we are actually talking about, and which one you actually have.

thanks!

Hi Anthony.
Got your road trip all planned out?

Sigh. Have been looking for these (ORA Red Sea Pom Pom) locally for several years with no luck. So I ordered twice online from 2 different places with overnight shipping only to have both of them die (water is all cloudy when I receive them). They never seem to put enough water in the bag even when I ask them to. Might try one more time.

Well, I finally got myself a true ORA Red Sea Pom Pom Xenia this week.

Haven't seen any Pom Pom Xenias locally during the 2+ years that I've been looking for it (Lots of plain Pulsing Xenia around though). Tried twice to have them overnight shipped and both times they died (expensive failures). So I had to make a road trip South to get it. So I picked them up myself, then went shopping for a few hours, and then drove home and left them in the bag for 48 hours floating in my tank (didn't have time to acclimate them so I left them in the bag until I had time), and they were perfectly fine. So it seems that the reason they usually die during shipping must be from really cold temperatures during transit.

Here it is in the bag after 48 hours.

That's quite the Xenia. I travel to us every two weeks as I like to shop there and thought to bring something back, but how are the laws at the border?

Which store do you shop over the border? Any good ones worth visiting?
