What type of anemone? Do you have the right flow and lighting? Was it healthy in the store?

how did you put it into the tank? did you just release it?
When i introduced mine I placed it on a rock and held it there for 2 mins or so until he started to take hold. Then it moved as it wanted too.

you can't tell an anemone what to do. They'll make up their own minds about when, where, and how to settle down. Unfortunately, that often means landing in the most inconvenient spot possible, or launching themselves in to a powerhead and turning themselves in to soup. The best you can do is make sure that there's nothing in the tank that can turn it in to anemone salad by covering any powerheads you have with mesh, and leaving it alone. It will figure itself out eventually. Every time you physically disturb it trying to move it somewhere you want it, you'll only cause it to retract and take even longer to attach.

Do you know what species it is? Some are more prone to wandering than others (bubbletips are especially bad), and some grow up to be pretty nasty and huge.
