No the pump inlet that hold the impeller like the front of the pump that's screws on well the tabs that hold it in place on the pump are broke

Could you mod the pump? Put the pump together normally, drill a small hole through the intake piece and into the pump, them screw a small stainless screw in to hold in place. My quiet one return pump came with a screw perhaps you could do something similar.

you can see the screw here in the picture

The tabs on my Sedra pump for my skimmer broke about 3 years ago. Figured, if it died, it died and would replace it then.

I still have had no problems.

I was thinking the same thing, they really made the intake a tight fit.
I have a rs135 and the pump died 6 months ago.

Sorry to hijack. Davidbugera are you currently running the pump?
