Found this really "cool" way of exterminating aiptasia.

WARNING: You might want to make sure that your hand is extremely steady or else you might zap unwanted stuffs. Don't forget the complimentary refraction too ;)

This has come into discussion before, and some were worrird about harming surrounding corals and even the glass. It's tough to say with out extensive testing but you can see in the video the zoas get pretty irritated, I wouldn't be surprised to find out some may have melted following the video. None the less its a cool gadget.

have not seen any of those conversations but it is not going to damage the glass unless you are scratching it on the glass. glass is an insulator.

Yah I don't think glass would be an issue but acrylic might be. The most fearful issues for laser would be the ionization of the water. And obviously the refraction and the steady hand issue because it is "almost" impossible to keep hand mm steady with lasers unless the distance between the laser and the aimed point is less.

another problem would be if there is one cell left from aptasia it generates into more
