if you buy a all in one unit make sure it's 5' long for a 6' tank

Depending on the depth of your tank. Are you looking for DIY or fixtures?

The only foreseeable problem when buying these is replacement parts and warranty. If something goes haywire, ur stuck with a huge wait time for repair/replacement, or another thing ur wife can nag on u about (money waister!)

yes the wait time on replacement would suck. but i would probably buy 3 and have one as a spare for back up. can these fixtures be strong to have sps on the bottom and keep clams and such.. thanks all for the help..

as far as the less expensive Chinese lights go, these ones have had quite a few good reviews and have a reasonable warranty. If you look on RC there is a pretty substantial thread going over the whole Chinese led thing.
