Just wondering if this is indicative of anything? I didn't think clowns lay eggs in the sand.. but my female maroon has been digging holes EVERYwhere in the sandbed... it's getting on my nerves

mine does that when the pair are geting ready to lay she will also pick up any rocks and corals in her area and move them .

Mine used to do that.

Now I have a shallow sandbed with egg crate, so I don't know if that is what changed her mind, or if she is just happier in that tank, then the other one she was in.

Does she have a mate?

Yep, she's got a small lil male with her. Funny thing was this... early on I had a pair... introduced large female with small male separately... they paired up instantly... and the female ended up dying about a month later... a friend gave me his female.. same size.. but I knew it was a risk, but introduced the new female and she didn't even really acknowledge the male... but recently the two have been mingling much more in my rbta sleeping together now all the time unlike before.. so *shrug*

That may settle her down.
