Hey there Canreef,

Hope someone could help me out - I'm looking to setup automated top-off and a "water on floor" alarm thought my Neptune Apex controller. I need water level sensors, and a "water on floor" sensor for the latter. Any idea where I might obtain these items?

Thanks!

I'm looking for a water on floor switch for my apex as well. Tagging along

I bought all of mine on ebay. Search "GRI Water Sensors" for the water on the floor and "float switch water level horizontal" for the switches. There aren't many options for the floor sensors but a lot of sellers carry the switches.

I purchased my breakout box from J&L, as well as three Digital Aquatics float switches (one Switch Kit 1 and one Switch Kit 2).

I have two switches at the same level (on the same bracket), and one a bit higher. The two at the same level are the "main" switches. I have two in case one fails or sticks. The third switch is mounted a couple of inches higher than the other two and is my "emergency" switch. The emergency switch shuts of the ATO and sends me an email alert.

I'd give you the code . . . but it looks like our IP address has changed again and I can't access it right now.

I'm thinking about this water on the floor sensor: http://www.specialtyalarms.com/site/1313932/product/80-519

I'm not 100% decided yet, though. It seems some people have had a bit of trouble with them.

Alright, I searched it up on Ebay, found two models: the 2600 and the 2800. Which one should i use? And some say 12 VDC... my understanding from the apex manual is that the switch should not be powered seperately.... so should i not pick the ones that are 12VDC??

Mine are the 2800 ones. I don't recall why I chose them over the 2600. But they work and they do not require an external power source.

Sweet! That one looks much nicer than the Neptune one, too.
