Sorry. I know it is a garbage photo (taken with my BB and only moonlights on in the tank as I was rushing out the door this morning). I think it should be good enough to get an ID, however.

I was told it was "related" to florida ricordea, but that it wasn't actually a ric. I wasn't given an answer as to what it actually is.

Any ideas?

Sweet!

Thanks, Steve. :)

I've read that yuma's are a little more fussy than the "standard" rics. It that's the case, and I can keep this guy, I should be able to keep any ric . . . right?

I'm hoping to do a big online order or rics sometime in the not too distant future, and I want to be sure I can actually keep them before I do.

I'm no ricordea expert so not sure. The yumas I've kept before have always seemed to do well but I've has less pleasant experiences with floridas http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/smileys/free-indifferent-smileys-698.gif

I bought a Yuma a few months ago. It disappeared so I thought it melted, just found it again with the last week, doing fine. I have rics as well and they are awesome, glow under moonlights!

Hmm. Hopefully I get home before this one hides itself from the light and I have to hunt for it.

I have it on the sandbed, very close to the front of my tank. I'm running 4 t5s on a 40B (36x18x16), and the light fixture is positioned at the rear of the tank. With the tank's dimensions, it will get quite a bit of light where it is. I may have a place in the tank where I can tuck it away a bit.
