Hi there. I am starting a bigger tank and wanted to know what people thought of the Sunbrite LED fixtures. Do they do a good job? How are they got corals? Any pros/cons/ advice would be great.

Thanks.

Hey, I have 4 over my 300. Ive no complaints so far. The only problem I had initially was the programming, but now they are quite easy to program and change if needed from my iPad.
Talk to Ray at reef supplies, you'll get great service, and he'll tell you anything else you need. HTH,
Bob

Mine have been great on my 125 gallon sps tank. All corals have done great under these lights over the last few months that they have been running. I run all colors at 100% and whites at 80%.

I plan to pick up another one for my 260g upgrade that i'm working on right now.

Thanks for the reviews. Do you think that one 72" will be good for my 72x18x18 tank?

Yep the fixture would be perfect for a tank that size. You'll probably have to keep the output down though on an 18" deep tank. The spread will cover the 18" width perfectly.

If you have SPS wall to wall you will get away with running these at 70ish-% blues and even lower on whites

thanks

Sorry to hijack. But I too am considering this fixture, how is the "Disco" effect with the red and green LEDs? Also with no optics, how is it for light splash over an open top tank with no canopy?

I run the Red's and Green's very low...especially the red. I just don’t like my Yellow Tang glowing orange, but that's just me. The lights have a 120 degree spread but since you mount them right around 6-8" off the water you do not get a lot of light escaping. When I swapped out my 6xT5 for a 36" SB I noticed that my tank was brighter but my room was a lot less lit up.

Thanks for the info. Ill be replacing a 36 inch TEK 4, and am now leaning heavily to the Sunbright.
