What type of seaweed/algae is this? It grows pretty fast. Mexican turbos dont even look at it. If it is bad what type of animal/treatment will get rid of it? Any help is appreciated

It is is kinda pretty. Seeing as it is embedded into the rock it possibly will not spread from that rock if it stands alone. I don't know if this is true but if it was my rock I would take the chance!

I believe it's Udotea algae. I've got some in my tank, I think it adds a natural feel to it. My tanks a year old and I don't think of it as invasive in the least. Now my Dictyota algae... GRRRRRRRR

I have had some of that for a couple years. It does spread. It has had die out/sexual events a few times. The first time i thought it died it got all clear and disintegrated but slowly came back and in new spots to. I run zeo and sometimes like when the stars and moon align i get low nutrient levels and my corals start to look good and some patches of this algae start to disintegrate. Those patches never came back. One rock (the origional one that got infested) got it back so bad i just moved it to the girls fowlr tank where it can be useful.
I tried picking at it and that helped but was a full time job.
I was thinking of cooking the rock as it is one of my favorites, but have not tried yet.

one of these leaves or whatever they are has managed to grow in the dead center of one of my purple mushrooms. It must have gone sexual or something because its spreading like wildfire. Growing out of the sand even. What should I do?
