Hey all, I recently bought a lovely little green candy cane coral and placed it on the sandbed in my tank. I put it in my tank on Monday and I have been noticing white colored tendrils poking out of the polyp/opening. Below is a picture of the coral.

Is this aiptasia or some form of algae? And if so, should I be worried/do something about it?

Candy Cane corals have tendrils that come out usually at night. It looks perfectly fine.

Looks great. The tendrils will catch food and pull it into their mouths. Yum!

Will feeding them cause them to grow faster?(I'm assuming yes but I'm curious how much it helps)

Yes. I find it makes a noticable difference in growth speed ,and to a lesser extent color.

Acan Plus is also a good food. Mix it up and feed with an eye dropper.
