40g Starphire cube 24" x 24" x 18" with sump 21" x 21" x 16". On a 36" tall metal stand. The aquarium is 1/2" starphire. Water Blaster 2000 water pump (Used for about 3 months, ASM G1X Skimmer, 250w Fishneedit Metal Halide w/ Aquamaxx 14k bulb, Vortech MP10 W ES, Red Sea Test Kits, fish food, refractometer, powerhead for mixing fresh saltwater, BRS 75 GPD RO/DI Plus unit (only about 150 gallons of water went through it), enough salt to make over 100 gallons of saltwater, Aqueon Pro 150w heater, and a few small items. It is running, had about 30 pounds of dry rock, currently has two clown fish, a purple and green hammer, some zoas and a green and brown frogspawn. The hammer has two heads which are splitting in half, and the frogspawn has three heads with two more coming out the side. I was away and a friend accidentally over-fed the tank and it currently has a diatom outbreak that is slowly clearing. Planing to move, so need to sell this ASAP, don't have a camera so I can not post photos. Put in a LOT more than this but asking $1600 O.B.O. as I need it gone ASAP.

Your prices are very high compared to going selling rate,

I bought my starphire cube used as a package for 400.00

Included canopy,250 watt metal halide setup, finished oak stand,30 gallon sump, pumps, plumbing and a lightly used 60 gallon starphire cube.

I'm not saying your prices may be too high it's just very hard to sell tanks for very much money right now.

Not for that price... no.

My opinion is... if it dosn't sell after a month... There's something wrong with your price....and this has been for sale for 2 months... so maybe put two and two together.

My 2 cents - The whole thing with accessories isn't worth anything over $500.

I HIGHLY doubt it cost that little for trimless/braceless, polished edges and all starphire! In my opinion I think this tank is worth what's being asked and I say this knowing full well what it cost and it's only 3 years old. There may be others cheaper but a custom built starphire tank, custom built sump and custom built metal stand are not cheap. Also the water blaster pump which is about $190 retail isn't more than 6 months old.

pat18
10-24-2012, 04:12 AM
That must have been a basic tank, because when I was getting the tank I have now, I went around asking for quotes and the one I got from AI with regular glass, no polished edges, thinner glass, etc was $295. So add on 1/2 inch starphire glass, a steel stand and a sump and it ended up being much more. The display tank itself was just under $500 when I got it quoted from most places.
I can't go any lower on the price, if it doesn't sell, then I will put it away for now and maybe someday I will use it.

Agreed Noirs!!! Leave the kid alone! If you are not interested in the tank then please keep your mouth shut! I got his RO unit and Skimer yesterday. the last thing he wants is rip-off anybody he gave me more than he had posted on the RO . He is a young kid that maybe saved money for long time for his tank and now is trying to get the most he can recup.
