So, admittedly it's a dumb time to ask. Power has been out for some time at my place, not sure how long as I just got home. Would love to get a bit of oxygen into the tank, the clowns are looking a little weak.

Is there anyone in Calgary who has a charged MP 40 battery backup they could loan me for a short period of time?

If you'd like to build your own for less than $100 ....

All you'd need right now to get you going is the battery and the fused connector cable for the controller
Just cut one end off and hook it up to the battery
The center of the barrel connector is Positive

can you just use a car battery for now, thats what I use for my tunze's. It should just be any 12 volt dc power source.

That's a good idea.

Ok that was a close call! Going to pick up a battery backup this week. Or better still, make one as Greg suggested!

Thanks everyone, including the offers to house my fish!
