I woke up this morning to find my maxi mini enjoying one of my cleaner shrimp. The maxi has been in my tank for 4 months maybe and has never done this before. Is this normal? I guess I should do some research but never thought he would take something that was at least twice the size of him. Thx

are you sure its the shrimp and not just a molt?.....Maxi's are a type of carpet nem and shouldn't be considered completely harmless:wink:.....I think one of my maxis may have been responsible for the disappearance of two of my trimma gobies

Thanks for the reply. Only time will tell until I see all three. Should I be target feeding this? If so what with? Thx.

I've got a whole tank of them and feed them large mysis, which they grab very quickly:mrgreen: They are pretty sticky and I'm sure would grab small perching type fish. Shrimp I don't know about. I have sexy shrimps which they host.

Seems to have been a molt thank goodness. It must be a sign he's hungry I guess. Thanks for the responses.
