Anyone have any experience growing mangroves? I'm planning on swapping the mangroves out of my fuge attached to my 300g system into a new one on my 66g sps tank

Advantages?
Disadvantages?
Photo period / light spectrum?

Can I just have them near a window in the sun?

Good species to put with them?

Any info would be appreciated

The mangroves I have grow like crazy they are hooked up to the same light timer as my dt just need to have a lot of flow to the roots.
I have saltwater mollies in with mine. They keep the roots clean of algae.

I grow them in the back of my SPS tank in the overflow. I just use the spill over light from my halides for them. If you keep you tank at low levels, your mangroves will grow slowly. Watch your mag as both the corals and mangroves consume it.

I guess I should check my mag levels on my big tank then
