I need to ship a car from Vancouver to Northern Ontario. I know there has to be a way to do this but some digging around / internet searches have not turned up anything in the way of who exactly to call.

Has anyone here done this before? Have any suggestions??

Thanks in advance for any assistance provided.

You can try livingston freight (sometimes called searail), its the train, I'm not sure if they go into northern ontario, but when we ship cars at my work from Toronto to Edmonton, we use them. We have also used Keewest trucking, but I think the train will be much more cost effective, but will still cost around $1000 - $1500 (I think). Hope that helps

I've sent a car from Edmonton to Montreal via train. It cost 800

I might have my pricing wrong, best bet is to call around and get quotes. What company did you use?

I can't remember. I shipped from Edmonton to Montreal via train and Montreal to Croatia by ship and it was 2100 total.

This was in 2008

I sent you a PM. My "guy" might be able to help you. He does all our large freight shipping.

Try Hanson's in Vancouver. We use them to ship our cars all over Canada.
