heh, apparently someone was trying to sell a purple monster for $1K last week. I think Ebay yanked the auction tho.

Yowzers!

Funny, though, he says that he has many colonies but none listed on ebay. Still, perhaps that's not how he normally sells, his feedback is great on book selling

You gotta give the guy credit, he's honest about it with his comment of "If you have more money than brains"!!!

Absurd.

Tony, some people on RC were pretty impressed by that purple acro we have. We should call it the Slotboom Purple/Yellow Monster and sell frags for $100 each.

Yeah, that purple one I keep posting. I think Tony, Jon, Russell, you and I all have pieces now, and likely others. I forget where Tony said he got it. It's actually the same species as the Purple Monster. I had some guy on RC chat tell me he'd pay $100USD for a piece so I figure we should stick Tony's name on it and start selling it for exorbitant prices.

Neat.

Weird someone from the states wants what we have, usually its the other way around.

By frag I mean like a small colony

Well it's a nice coral once it colours up. Here's the thread of the photos of mine.

Wow ...

I always wondered if it was the same species, I always thought they looked alike. I got it originally from Dave at Dark Side (one of those basement shops that has long since vanished).

My understanding is that the PM is special because it has much thicker branches than your average A. valida, and of course, it's pure purple. As per the previous thread on the topic, we all know it's tough to be certain that what we have is also A. valida, but I think it's a good guess.

I don't know but this price seems better, probably not the same coral but pretty close.
