How can I reduce a 3/4" hose (tee'd off a return pump) down to flexible airline tubing (to a carbon reactor)?

I used a reducer (3/4-1/2 threaded) to a quick connect 1/4"...all bought at home depot for about 7-8 dollars. I can take a picture if that helps...

I just use 5 inches of the 3/4 inch hose then the rest I connect it with another 1/2 inch hose, use it as long as I want. I put the 1/2 inch hose inside the 3/4 hose, push in as much inside as I can and tie it with the cable tie outside, I never get a leak by doing it this cheap way.

All that plus a drop of half cooled glue from the glue gun. If glue is too hot it will warp the hoses. If its cooled down a bit it will seal it 100%

cale: thanks for the picture. I'll hunt for them at a nearby HD.
caesy, ruglu: very clever! If I can't find the parts, I'll try this.

Thanks

I'd also suggest picking up some 1/4 tube (same stuff used for fridge kits and humidifiers) at HD, much better for your application than the softer airline.

You are gonna run a carbon reactor off 1/4" tubing???
Mine is ran off a 1/2 " tubing and the reactor t clogs up after 3-4 weeks

My Vertex RX4 came plumbed for 1/4", it hasn't been an issue in the year and half I've been running it.
