Good afternoon,

Is anyone on this board a mechanic in Surrey? I'm interested in purchasing a truck out there and I'm hoping there might be someone who can take a look at it for me.

Regards
Robb

I could possibly come take a look depending on the day and time.

Hey Robb, Best things in life are free.
Above is the free 30 point inspection list you can do yourself.
Just have this list printed with you, and you will not need a pro. you will be a pro yourself. Practice on any other car/truck you have access to and you will not need to pay anybody.

Are you looking for someone to tell you it's a great truck or a beater, because you aren't coming out here unless you buy it ?
Sorry, I'll not get involved ... too many issues

Get a report on it from BCAA or something
If the seller won't do this, back away ....

Hey, please don't take my post the wrong way
I didn't mean to come across as stand-off-ish or such ...

I only meant to state the fact that you will be hard-pressed to find a mechanic who would put their name on a vehicle without you there

BCAA used to have mobile mechanics who would do pre-purchase inspections. It wasn't particularly costly when I had it done . . . but that was . . . ummm . . . 24 years ago (when did I get so flippin' old!).

6 weeks after I had the inspection and bought the car the cam shaft went, so inspections really do need to be taken with a grain of salt.
