We have them for rent from our store. We'd need a damage deposit as well.

Suction cups are well worth the cost to rent the good ones. I have the cheap ones from princess auto but I wouldn't use them again. They slip and it's hard to get a real strong reliable grab with them.

I am definatly going to stay away from anything cheap, the money I might save isn't worth a broken tank :)

Are they really necessary for a 150g tank?

The chart I have says that a standard 150g tank weighs 338lbs, suction cups would allow more people to carry it easier at the very least.

Ya, I guess. A buddy and I carried my 180 from the road, up the stairs and into the kitchen, figured a 150 being smaller wouldn't really need suction cups  Guess it depends on who's carrying it too

a 150g is closer to 200lb i think are 180g its just a guy on each end and go. big hint don't set it on the ground the lift to carrying height sucks

My tank is only about 80g with 1/2" glass so I had the wife help me carry it downstairs. I heard about it for a month afterwards! Just give guys beer and they don't complain.

Tank wasn't that heavy, handles make the move so easy especially when you are going down the stairs! Plus we had some help ;)

Glad it went well! My tank isn't very heavy either but with no bracing on it to get some grip suction cups would have made life easier. I didn't even consider them at the time.
