No more overflow accidents. I just attach my RO/DI tube to this and clip it to the top of any bucket or tub that I am filling with water, and can now forget without any wet consequences.http://www.canreef.com/photopost/data/507/medium/0061.JPG

until that clip pops off that is! I drilled all my barrels and threaded my floats in. Takes an extra 10 minutes and is safer too.

The clip is tighter than it looks, plus it has that little hook on the bottom, that catches the IO bucket rims that I use sometimes if I need extra buckets. I tested it on several different tubs and rims, and holds pretty solid. If there is any doubt, I can attach a plastic clamp over the clip, but don't think that will be necessary. The water flow stops as soon as the float is raised, without a lot of pressure/leverage on the clip.

This way I don't have to drill holes and have a float for every refill tub or bucket that I use.

where'd you pick it up?

The clip I made from a piece of lexan that I cut, bent and glued. The nice thing about lexan is that it is very strong, but can be bent and shaped to anything you want without cracking or breaking. The float you can buy anywhere. I got mine from my rodi filter supplier, Air, Water and Ice.
