This months subject: Frag Tank

This month we would like to see photos of your frag tank(s). Who doesn't like a shot of dozens of frags neatly lined up in rows. :mrgreen:


Entries will be accepted until June 25th, 2012.

Entries to be posted in this thread, if you have troubles posting please either pm or email me the photo and I will help you post it.

For the winner you will have a snazzy POTM badge placed beside your user name





Voting to take place June 26 - 30.



Contest Rules are as follows:

1) You must follow the guidelines given for each contest.

2) ALL members including vendors can enter.

3) Photos should be submitted no larger than 1024 x 768 and a max ppi of 300.

4) The photo must be taken by you, and as long as it fits the subject you're in!

5) Each member can post as many pictures as they want, but only ONE can be entered. Please specify which one when posting multiple pictures or it will be chosen for you.

6) Have Fun!

I bet you have some of those ultra rare Tonga snowflake acroporas mounted and ready to go though. Take a photo of those in the tank :wink:

well since i only have one tank and its my frag tank i might as well enter , wish i had some recent pics of my new and awsome zoas but since i moved at the begining of the month algea is going nuts and nobody needs to see that.Edit wish i had cleaned the glass before this shot hmmm.

who dosent need more frags , im collecting corals and fragging them and i dont even have a display tank to put them in, soon im going to need more frag tank. Just something great about watching a whole bunch of frags grow.

Because sponsors complain that people are reguarily selling frags...your allowed to sell frags without sponsorship just not continuously ....that's my understanding anyways :pp

I didn't post my fragtank its blue lights and I can't get a clear pic:( plus I'm battling a nudi problem :(

nope, not touchy at all..pretty straight forward. Hobbyists can sell frags from their overgrown tanks. Now if you have a 500g growout operation and you have dozens of frags offered weekly, that's questionable. If you ship and have a website, you're a commercial operation. If someone complains, we look into it, evaluate, and make a per incident decision.
I think every vendor that sells frags also sells a whole lot of other stuff. Salt, lights, etc...they're commercial.
For us reefers that are somewhat good at growing corals, we need an outlet to get rid of the over growth. Throwing it in the garbage isn't the greatest idea. So as long as you're a hobbyist, and you're selling and trading frags that have grown off of your corals, it's all good.

Thankfully it was a temp housing for the tangs for a couple weeks & just the Yellow Tang is left in there atm.

i don't wanna be *that guy* but i call photoshop. look at that shot at say 400% and it becomes apparent that some of the pixels have been manipulated ever so slightly.

I'm not sure what your yellow tangs look like...But mine always rock the police hat and badge...OH.. and roll around in a lambo (Aquatic stylez)

and I was about put naso tang into my 2X2 frag as algae eater. I think an Achilles may fit into the category perfectly.
