Hey everyone, going to be putting together a new reef system and thought I would share.

First off heres a little introduction to my reefing experience.... My first tank was a 120g 4x2x2 which I had for about 4 years but left it with my pops when I moved out on my own a few years ago. Last summer I started a 65g and had that running up until march when I shut it down and sold it. As much as I loved that tank, it just wasn't keeping up with my necessary daily reef dosage.

So with that being said the day after selling I put an order in for a 60x34x30 265g tank. 3 side starphire with center overflow and is being built by Neil and Chris (Lapdog2020) at Neil Wilson Glass Products out of Edmonton. Sump will be a 90g 48x24x18 and Chris is also hooking me up with a FREE water change tank that is 24x24x18 I'm pretty sure. Was planning on building my own wood stand but was quickly talked out of that by Chris and have decided to go with the 100% peace of mind option that is metal. I had the stand built by Rob (Bigtang) and is black powdercoated. I must say I am extremely happy with it and would highly recommend him if you need a custom stand built. The plan is to cover the stand with wooden skirt held with magnets. Main display will be on the main floor and the sump will be in the basement. My planned equipment list for now is as follows:
Lighting- 4x kessil a350w ( had the a150s on my 65 and loved them)
Skimmer - Whatever used skimmer I can find on Canreef that is big enough for the system.
Controller- D.A. reefkeeper elite v2
Return pump - Undecided but will be external that will me around 3000g turn over to display
Flow- Either 2x tunze waveboxe or seaswirls. Would love to do vortechs but just too loud for me.

Livestock will be a complete mixed reef and I will be starting from scratch basically because all I have left from my old system after its last move is a few fish and some frags. Planning on using Marco rocks with my lr for seed and will start with about 250 lbs and go from there as per aquascape. Substrate will be caribsea special grade mixed with a little bit of indo pacific black just to add a few grains of black to the mix.

So this is what I have so far and I will be bringing this beast to life over the next few months. Let me know what you think and feel free to chime in if you have any criticisms / suggestions. Will add lots of pics as I go.

Here is what I have for now... just a few pic of production starting on my tank and a few of the sump ....Actually I will ad pics later as the site is not allowing me right now for some reason

Thanks for reading!

Yep the tank was a smooth move and install. I'm happy to say that Northerncoral is another very happy customer. Neil said thank you for the business and we hope that you enjoy your tank for many years to come.

Cheers.

Big shout out to Lapdog2020 for making the drive up to fort mac to help with the install. If it wasnt for him the tank would have either been smashed or still sitting in the back of my truck lol . If anyone is thinking about getting a tank made go through him. Excellent product, excellent price and even better customer service. More pics to come....
