I'm getting into the final stages of designing my LED retrofit for my BC29.

I'm handing with a soldering iron, but its the drilling and tapping that I'm not soo handy with. Anybody handy with this and willing to help?

Compensation/food/etc can be sorted out.

I'd be willing to help out

I have 20+ years of the kind of experience you need

One restriction would be that you have to bring your build to my place as I couldn't imagine what to bring to your house. Well, we could work on that too ...
I have a crap load of tools .....

PM me and we'll talk

PM sent

Ya, I'd say the same thing, but, 20 years ago I didn't have what I do now.
It takes time to spend $10-40K on stuff

Heatsink plaster will eliminate the need for all those taps. Same idea as attaching a CPU to a heatsink. I've used it myself, very easy.

+1 on the thermal adhesive , if it where me and i had leds that screwed on i would put heat sink grease in between the led and heatsink anyway so might as well save the drilling step.

Adhesive is fine, but when the LED burns out, you'll be cursing the stuff when trying to remove it. Taking a little extra time to drill/tap & use screws might save some frustration down the road.

I want to drill/tap because led tech is still changing and it will allow me to swap and change the leds easier.

I plan on using thermal compound to help with the heat transfer.
