Yup an old mag float and some egg crate works great.

Not bad for $20 and its a triple use ! (clip, rack and glass clean). Though i think it will not hold a fully loaded rack of frags, he might need to cut it smaller.

The Eshopps ones are ok, but the magnets on them are pretty weak so they don't really work on thicker glass (1/2"+). Plus you are limited to the plugs you use with the round holes.

The DIY ones work great if done properly, but the tend to look ghetto a.f.

I also have the Ocean Wonders one from BRS and love it.

I had made one for myself with almost with the same size frag rack, but 1 inch shorter on both sides. The mag float is holdding very strong, not like the one from Eshopps.
