I have this brown algae on majority of my rocks and seems to be spreading to some of my corals... Any idea what it may be?

What are your parameters? I would think to high of phosphates and maybe low flow might be to blame.

I was thinking the same thing, phosphates are a tough one and never a 100% guarantee on most test kits but when i do it is in the 0.5 range. I have a mp10 running in on around 85% on nutrient export mode. This tank is 35gal.

Hmm well have you tried to remove it manually? Maybe try running some phosban, that always works for me.

Phosban may have to be my next attempt. I do try and manually take it out but its tough to go through my zoas especially and scrape it off. I do on the other hand scrape it off from time to time but find it right back.

Yeah it's tough stuff to remove! I would stick on some phosban and just try and keep it off the corals until it gets under control. Maybe do some water changes and cut back on the feeding a bit. Food can add a ton of phosphates.

Ya for sure, been cutting down on feeding already. And time to time cleaning off my zoas.

Set up is around 4-5 months old now at least.

Hmm maybe it's also because the system isn't very old. My system had similar problems when it was newish.
