Hey all,

I've been getting some pressure to post a build thread so I thought I might as well.

As some of you know, my last tank blew up all over my living room floor (while I did a panic dance in front of it watching water gush everywhere). I managed to save most of my corals, but unfortunately lost all of my fish. It was a sad day indeed.

Fast-forward now to 6 weeks later. Instead of repairing my old acrylic, hard to clean, scratch happy tank, I opted to get a custom tank made.

So, without further adieu, here are the specs:

Tank: 32"x32"x20" Starphire 3 side tank with polished & bevelled edges all around, external overflow box

Sump: Tenecor 24"x24" acrylic sump

Return: Red Dragon 8.2 to a Mocean 2500

Flow: Vortech MP40wES

Lighting: Ecotech Radion

Skimmer: Bubble King Mini 180

I just got the tank plumbed up and running. Will slowly start introducing my livestock back to the tank in the following weeks. Going to do bare bottom again as I actually dig that look. Pictures to come. They are on my camera at home. Really they are. I swear.

Thanks for looking everybody!

Changes coming soon:
1) Removed Calcium Reactor to try 2-part dosing
2) Add additional Radion for more even coverage

Also can anyone suggest something cool I can put in that big empty space I have in the bottom front side of my tank?

October update:

http://i1251.photobucket.com/albums/hh545/marineaquariaedmonton/Harvey%20tank%20build/temporary-3.jpg

http://i1251.photobucket.com/albums/hh545/marineaquariaedmonton/Harvey%20tank%20build/temporary-2-1.jpg

Started dosing 2-part since my last update and removed the Calcium Reactor. Also stopped dosing Kalk at the same time. So far I like the results of the 2-part but I have a feeling that I'm going to be needing to mix a lot of it to keep up once everything starts getting to a decent size.

Also, I will hopefully get my 2nd Radion in the next few weeks and will dial them down to 2x80% (vs 1x100%).

Whoops! I forgot to answer your other question. Dosing is done via dosing pump.
