The Kings will be but a small bump on the Canucks road to their first cup.

Pit/phi is one that I will be watching for sure. Definitely some bad blood there.

I don't see them getting their first cup. Unfortunately I also don't see the Kings beating them either  But I can hope.

I hope that Van will see either SJS or CHI in the 2nd round, and that will do them in.

I know the rest of the world hates the Canucks and wants to see them fail. As difficult as it is for any team to go all the way, (especially in the Western Conference), I actually like Vancouver's chances. Schneider is a much better goalie this year and Luongo will be pulled the instant he falters. We're also bigger this year and won't be beaten up like the Bruins did to us last year. I can't see this team being embarrassed like they were in games 5,6 & 7 of the final last year.

I don't think that the 'Nucks should even start Luongo. Schneider is by far the better goalie.

Thats going to be a tough one for the WSH. I don't see that turning out well for them. PIT/WSH would be a good final though.

I'm interested to see how OTT/NYR pans out. OTT won the season series 3-1 so that could go either way. Big upset possibly.

I'm a die hard vancouver fan as I am from there! So I am for them all the way.

although the Pit vs phil series is going to be a wicked one to watch!!

and the people that rioted were not from vancouver... they were from the outskirts like surrey, abby, chilliwack... and so on...and would have rioted if they won or lost... didn't matter they were looking for trouble. regardless it was a year ago... GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!

I like the Penguins out of the East and the Preds out of the west.
Also don't look past the blues they are huge, mean and I think they have a better one, two goal tending tandem than anyone including the 'nucks.

if the canucks can keep the intensity up, the sisters decide to actually play in the play offs, and they keep there game clean (unlike last year) they have a chance of winning this year.

Last year they lost because the turned into the dirtiest team in the league, so dirty that I was even disgusted watching them, all this did was pi$$ the other teams off and make they try harder (theres a reason the canucks went from one of the most favorite teams in the league to one of the most hated, and its not because they are good or anything like that).

plus the fact that the sisters never did anything for what the first 13 games or so...

Luongo will still be the starting goalie, even when he falters last year it never cost them a series, only made the go longer. the fact Schneider is ready to be a starting goalie just means they have a good replacement if luongo gets hurt, but I do think if they get up in a series where they could afford to lose a game or two they will play Schneider. this will give him some more play off experience and if he does good will increase his value for a trade.

Schneider needs to come to edmonton.

you never know, if Van doesn't make him a starter he probably won't re-sign with them and he will get a good contract elsewhere, but I realy don't think he is much better than dubby, maybe a year ahead of him in being ready. what they need to do is ditch habby and get a good goalie on a two year contract. I thought they would have went after turko when he was available last year, what baffels me even more is why they arn't playing gerber instead of habby, or maybe that is the plan next year when habby is gone.

Not trying to be a @$$hole. But I hope they do sweep.

If LA wins at home there won't be 20,000 people filing to the Vancouver street to riot. If Van wins game 4 then they run the risk of losing game 5 in Van with a stadium full of people on top of the bar crowd.

I'm sure the cops will be far more prepared this time around. But I would hate to see it turn into the same thing as last year.

Your're not a band wagoner when you're born and raised in Calgary. If it was Edmonton in the playoff's I would extend them the same curtsey's that I did Vancouver.

You want to talk band wagon. There was more bandwagon fan's cheering for Vancouver because they are "Canadian" even though there was more Canadian players on the Boston team last year. As well as the Kings have just as many Canadians as the Canucks do this year, 15 a piece if not mistaken. Jump on the Kings band wagon and cheer for Canadian players.

Now what do they do with Lou??????

I think the only other team that would take him would have to be Tampa. They could trade strait across for Lecavalier, he has an ob-seen contract as well. If they never signed him for such a ridiculous contract it would be easier to dump him.

I have respect for him though, he did aid in the gold metal for Canada. I would like to see him stay in Van though. I think Calgary could use Schnieder more lol. So we can dump kipper and Iggy while they're still worth something and start re building.

On a side note. I would also like to see Chicago take the series now, just so Torres has to pay out of his pocket for the hit on Hossa next season. Just my $.02

I agree that Lou has gotten the short end if the stick, not sure who to blame for that though. not a lot of loyalty shown to him when it really wasn't his fault they lost first 2 games.
As for the Flames, they had better start the sale now. They are starting to look like the Oilers of past. Struggling for that last playoff spot and for what. First round exit or middle draft pick. I'm an Oiler fan and cheer for ABC (anybody But Calgary) but the longer they hold on to aging assets, the longer the rebuild will take.

Yes and no. It's kinda a good thing for both parties. I bet he goes to TO. Edmonton could use him too, but I don't think they can afford him once they resign all the contracts they have coming up.

Go Ottawa.

I have been very disappointed at how much hate there has been on this board for the Canucks. Personally, if the Canucks aren't in the playoffs, I cheer for pretty much any other Canadian team. That is obviously a rare thing nowadays from the posted comments.

On the other hand, I've always said that if they're not going to go really far in the playoffs, I'd rather they get knocked out early so I (and the other fans) can get on with our lives and not be stressed out. Last season's long run to the finals was great and exciting, but months of planning our days around each playoff game and holding our breaths with each game was a tad stressful.

Go Ottawa Go!!!!

So cheering for another Canadian team if your own home team is knocked out means you're a band wagon jumper. Hmmmm. Interesting. I guess this applies to everyone who was posting or thinking "Go Ottawa" eh?

I took lots of money last year from a couple of my co-workers on the VAN/BOS last year . This year I told them they could pick their choices first, but I get LA always. The only team's I got to pick were NYR, LA, for the past round. The first round I was stuck with the under dogs for what we did bet on. Honestly I was hoping Nashville would have taken out Phoenix.
