Hard to tell because I have multiple nutrient sinks going on, I have always used them and regardless if they work I love the look .

Great pics Levi, you've got quite the candy store there

Just a question about your nighttime water column saturation method. You haven't ever had any oxygenation problems with the corals sliming/reduction of flow/no skimmer combination? Just wondering as I accidentally had my skimmer and return pump off overnight once and lost my bellus angel from what I assumed to be low oxygen. Could be that they're just overly sensitive as I've heard angelfish can be. I'm intrigued to try your method but it kind of scares the bejeezus out of me and I'd likely have the pumps come on after only an hour or two.

Anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this

No losses thus far, I agree though if your hesitant to do it start really slow.

That being said all of the tanks I have done this with have had a fair amount of surface area so it has never really been a problem. Make sure you keep your return pump on though, don't want a temperature drop. It would be nice to get an O2 probe running and take some measurements, I might pick one up the next time I'm at the LFS.

Thanks again for all the shout outs everyone !

Had a little laugh over that one, I really wish RC would of waited so I could of taken new photos for them. Bigger congrats to Devo though, pretty sure he is the youngest RC TOTM recipient to date.

Guess I can always post new photos here , I picked up a few new additions coral and fish alike. New photos on there way tomorrow including the crab spawn!

I see....sorry I was looking at it on my 7" playbook and wasn't sure what was going on. Thought maybe you went away to Jamica and your brother filled it up with sps and ditched your zoas:biggrin:

Uhmmm, I could come and take your fish trap for another 6 month test drive if you want haha. PM of ma numba is on its way shortly, maybe I can arrange a few of you guys over at the same time I think Greg & Brett wanted to take a look as well. Thanks for the comment Kien!

Hokkayyy, tank viewing is being arranged (slowly but it will happen)!

If anyone is interested in stopping by for a beer shoot me a PM. I'm still trying to work out a day that will work best for everyone, accommodating Kiens extreme basket weaving classes is making it tough though.
