Is anyone know where in Edmonton to get a gaming PC system beside Memories Express?

Thank you for your inputs.

if you have a decent budget buy it online
look at
www.alienware.ca (http://www.alienware.ca)
www.tigerdirect.ca (http://www.tigerdirect.ca)
www.ncix.ca (http://www.ncix.ca)

these sites have some really good deals, hopefully you will find something in your price range

if its a gift for your son i would definently go with alieware. i have one myself and they are reliable and he wont be looking to uograde for a while atleast
if budget is an issue then i would settle for a dell xps decent and reliable but outdated fast
if you just dont like the brands i would suggest sending me a pm with a price in mind and i can help you select a nice one within that range (let me know if its a laptop or a desktop)
just for your info i have tons of experience with these things(this is practically all i do)

the first thing you need to make sure is good is the video card
if going with nvidia make sure you stay higher than gt 525
if going with ati any 6 series will be sufficient
a good processor stay in the range of a i5 and if you can get an i7 (make sure they are 2nd generation)
next make sure ram is enough see if you can get more than 6 gb

motherboard you really dont have to worry about if you are getting the above items then the motherboard will be decent if not really good

Saw one at Future Shop yesterday for $1500.00. i7 2nd gem. 8gb of ram and I think it's nivdia 530.

that is actually a really really goood deal
your son will be more than happy to have that plus the design of the case is real nice, you can see it in the pic but the top is amazing
its actually worth the buy if you are considering this desktop
if you wish to spend a little less

what's wrong with memory express? Got a gaming system for my kid over Christmas, selected the components wanted and works great.

I had looked a system similar to the Futureshop links, one of my concerns was the mother board and upgrading in the future. They seem nice though.

The memory express here will build and test one for you if you don't want to build it yourself, I'd imagine it's the same at all of them.

I'll never buy a brand comp again they build them with special parts so if somthing goes u need to service the whole computer or buy a new rig such a cash cow i suggest u save ur money time and sanity and have memory express build u one... Will be cheaper n better to
