call me paranoid but I'd double the rail for stability/strengh (notice a bit of bend) or bungee the rail to the clamps just to prevent accidents.
but cool DIY!

Could you post a closeup of the clamps?

I've got some nice 1.5" x1.5" aluminum square tubing which would work great to add stability if you want one. Just saying. I know the stock rails for the sol are quite flexible but still very strong.

they're perfectly strong. the vertical rails are 1/4 solid metal
the horizonal rail is aluminum u channel. it flexes a little but im not worried about it

Would look even better if you hid some of those wires a bit better.
Good work on the DIY - interesting idea.

Not sure how much room you have inside the rails, but you could run the lines through the rails, and down one of the posts. If there is no room inside, have them run behind the rail, and down a post. There are some cool products that can stick to the back of the rail, using double sided tape, that will house your wires.
How do you like the lights? Are they growing your corals well?
