Sorry, I have to vent. I have had a very hard time with this, keeping vulgarities to a minimum, my anger is off the charts.

So Saturday, made arrangements to meet another member(a friend- so I thought) at 2:30 at J&L's. Fine. Get there a 2pm, go in and buy what I need, talk to John for a few. Go out and wait and wait and wait. 3pm, Well now I'm P****d, 3:10 I leave, even more P****D. Talk about a total waste of time. F****N POS.

The fact he is from Mission, probably means he made a trip out, and arranged a special get together (maybe to buy or sell something). It only takes a phone call to say they can't make it. Doesn't it? The last time I got stood up was by a friend I have known for nearly 10 years. I met him when I lived in Australia, and I've been back to visit several times, he's also come here twice.

He had told me he was coming and not shown up several times, but that had always been the 'hey I'm coming to Canada in 6 months' and then never followed through with actual planning of a trip sort of thing. However this last time, he actually gave me dates, flight details, times, hotel information, etc., etc., and asked me to pick him up from the airport. I booked time off school stuff, some other people here who also knew him booked time off work, we made reservations at restaurants for the nights he was going to be here, and I went to the airport to retrieve him.

Two hours of wandering around said airport looking like a chump later, I dug in to it and found out there was no hotel reservation, nor was he ever booked on the flight. Further digging revealed that he was in fact a pathological liar (resulting in at least one fraud conviction in Australia), and 80% of what I had thought I knew about him for a decade wasn't true. I still to this day haven't heard from him with an explanation or an apology.
