I bought a second hand system from a guy who hadn't had it running in over a year. I am not setting up that system but I'm wondering if the supplements expire. I got a whole box of misc. supplements including Tailored Aquatics calcium, dkh raiser, phosphate destroyer and many of the like. I don't see any expiry dates on them but I just wanna ask to be sure.

Obviously the stuff you have right now is over a year old. I won't put anything in my tank if I know it is more older than 1 year with no expiry date on it. That is why when I buy something that has no date, I will buy it in a small amount to use just enough for one year. And I am more concerned with liquid but not very much with powder. If I were you I won't use any of them.

I have many doubts as well but then I question how something like calcium magnesium or strontium ever goes bad? It is elemental and should stay in that state for eternity in theory. Anyone with any bad experiences personally?
Or good lol.

I think it is just me. My husband is using all expiry dated pills, liquid etc, but nothing happens to him ... I am wondering when it will be happen ... So you don't need to worry too much about your stuff

Supplements like calcium and alkalinity (ionic) won't go bad but organic ones such as selcon will. I wouldn't have any issues with using years old calcium supplement, for example, since you can't chemically break it down any further than what it already is.
