View Full Version : Special Tank
I'm looking for at least a 40G tank for my sump, however, it has to be within 12.5 inches in width because of the way my stand is built. If anyone has one or knows of an inexpensive way of getting one please let me know. Thanks.

Hve you looked for something that size in a rubbermaid container?
I'm having the same problem with my stand, its long, but inside is only 10in from front to back.

I'd prefer not to go rubbermaid unless I have no choice.
Make one out of acrylic. It's easy.

Just curious as to why not?
I was just told that rubbermaid was a lot harder to work with when building baffles and whatnot. I'm open to any recommendations though.[/quote]

I would really recommend building one from Acrylic. Jack and Wendell really helped out on the one I (Jack) just built.
If you want the contact info for supplies and stuff let me know

ya, that would be great. I need to know the best most cost effective way. I've never been one to sacrifice quality because of money but I'd like to keep it low cost if possible. How much would they charge to build me one do you think. They're building me a skimmer as we speak.

how long can it be? Blue tang has a 48 inch x 12 tank for sale believe it is a 48 gallon
that would be perfect. How much
the only problem would be getting the tank in the stand. the stand is 6 feet long with a vertical center brace right in the middle, front and back.
I just read blue tangs ad. It's 13" wide and that's 3/4's of an inch too wide.

That's what I might have to look at if I can't find a better method.
