This is the second magnet I've found in the past couple of years that's split open on the wet side.
This can't be good!

Yeah I had one do that too, it was one of those sure grip ones. I didn't even realize it was split open either, not sure what lovely things it did for the tank :neutral: I just use the Tunze ones now, although I'm waiting for one of them to split too...

Yikes...anything rusty looking can't be good for the tank.

Meh, you can dose iron, this just means you get to dose less. :p
Those Algae-Free magnets eventually lose their seal and this happens. Brad had a good point though: just switch sides on them and get another year out of them. Although maybe don't wait until it gets to the point in the picture. :lol:
