Does anyone who is using one have to upgrade and add a pump. Here in Fleetwood the pressure is quite low. I think of getting one fron the North van e-bay company.

RO needs aprox. 40 psi to operate (I'm sure Steve will come in and clear things up  ) But you can't get even that? I run 45 psi in N. Burnaby.

Jack thanks for the reply, how do you test the pressure?

Pressure gauge.

My unit comes with a pressure gauge on it. Not sure how you would measure it yourself without a unit.

Isn't surrey on water meters? Maybe DI is an option, it doesn't require any pressure or waste water.

I was going to get the 6 stage which includes the DI.
Brad, I kind of figured a pressure gauge would work, I've never seen one to test tap pressure before. I find the pressure here quite weak.

I know you did, I just had to say it

Many units, mine included, come with pressure gauges. They're pretty cheap to buy separately though.

you can get an adaptor that will go from a swage lock to pipe thread. put that on to the guage then get another swage lock to say guarden hose type fitting. screw that to your outside tap and turn it on. or you can just go to home depot.. find a guage that goes from 0 to 200 psi.. walk to the plumbing section and tell the pulmber dude there you want to atach this toa outside tap and he will show you what you need.

I live in Newton 144/72 area and I hooked up the 6 stage from the company in West Van. No problems here - not quite sure on getting 75 gallons per day but enough to keep me happy.

Thanks Joelf and chin_lee. I just might take you up on it. It will probably be next month with taxes being due this one.
