Can a person safely use a frag tank as a qt? Will some medications harm frags?

No. Yes.

If there is disease, then the frag tank would need to go without fish for a long time before you could, in good conscience, sell any frags or move them to your display.
Meds, like copper, will kill any frag. So will chloroquine. And malachite green. Probably most effective meds will harm corals.

Not as an actual QT for disease treatment but I usually use mine to house new fish for the first few weeks to monitor them and get them eating well before putting them in my display. Most treatments that are coral safe are not overly effective plus ideally you keep a QT free of items that can house parasites. Plus after treating a fish you'll likely want to change the water right out to prevent a build up of medications from further treatments on new fish.

Thanks for the replies!

I had seen people use frag tanks as a qt. makes sense to not use any meds in them.
