I am thinking to get a larger tank... and I want to have some really good flow going thru it.

The highest rated pump I can find at JL's is the dolphin ampmaster 3000

http://www.jlaquatics.com/cgi-bin/shopping/jalstore.cgi?user_action=detail&catalogno=wp-amp3000

even at 8' of head, it will still put out 2500gph or so.

Anyone have any experience with this pump? Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks!

I have a few ampmasters - 6 I think, and for all the hobble about seals on some of the RC threads I havent experienced the same.

That being said I just switched to two of their 1hp pumps which are very loud but do about 3 times the water volume of the ampmaster.

Just ensure you dont take the piping size down until the last plumbing fixture.

try dolphinpumps.com, think thats it.

I am not certain but i think that you can get jaccuzzi pumps that have bigger flow rates.

you can try the mag 36 or pondmaster 3600. they are pumping about 1000 gal at 14' head. I think they are about 385 watts. check out www.pondmaster.com
