Ok, 75g tank, with 20g sump. I have a mag7 for return,2 802 ph, 2 Mj900ph, and a natural wave contoller for the 2 mj's and 1 802. I'm not happy with the circulation. Should I add more Ph's? or I was thinking of 2 seperate closed loops powered by 2 mag9'sor 12's. I would have several outputs for the closed loops so I could control dead zones. Which would be better, or is there something else out there?

Marty, although you can always add more power heads have you tried moving the power heads you have? How are you going to do the closed loops is the tank drilled? I know in my 90 I had the Mag 7, two hagen pro 4s and two Rio 1100s plus a couple of other power heads if I remember right. The mag7 is a decent pump but if you have alot of 90degree elbows in there you'll really loose alot of the water flow.

Tank is drilled, but I would mount the pumps behind the tank and draw the water out that way, that's why i figured two mag9 or 12's would work. It's hard to move power heads to where they would work best because they are so focused. The 802's move alot of water but the MJ 900's don't. I was going to get some 402's but I was unable to be where I was suppose to be to get them :frown: .

I have a 90 with a mag 12 return and a T4 closed loop with 2 3/4 returns. Works just right for me. The T4 has about 2 feet of head and the mag 12 about 5.
