Ok so I noticed a mushroom on the base of a sps colony and notice it completely discolored the area. It has almost bleached it to death. Are mushrooms treatable or do I look at replacing everything to dry rock?

if its just one mushroom then pull it off, if theres lots of mushrooms then its a bit trickier:P

Aptasia killer will do it.

Well it's not like a mushroom farm yet but they are increasing with time.

I tried cutting, all kinds of stuff. Like people said, aptasia kiler works best. Syringe with kalk or hot water, or the zapper both work. Mine are plague like in my tank, take over zoa's that are taking over sps, it's all out warfare. I made a DIY aptasia zapper and have been happily zapping since.

The zapper is fun, biggest pain i found was getting a prong that wouldn't dissolve after some use. I ended up with 2 cut off fish hooks and everything's been great.

I have the aptasia Zapper and it does nothing to my shrooms...they laugh it off. nothing has worked for me...they are completely taking over!
