I have never seen aluminum tube at Home Depot or Princess Auto but then again I have never look there as I get all mine from a steel supplier.

Is that anything like if a tree in a forest fell down, but you weren't there to see it, so did it actually fall down?

There's a Metal Supermarket in Edmonton that seems to carry just about every shape and size of stock out there with no minimums.
See there's one listed for Calgary.

If you're looking for something specific Metal Supermarkets will have pretty much everything but price wise can be a little more unless you take from there scrap bins which does typically have a large variation of aluminium angles and tubes.
Edit, I see I was beat to the punch!
