Don't know what size you need, but would one of these work?
Princess Auto Barrel Dolly. Argh, I can't get a link to work from their search site. Go to Princess Auto (http://www.princessauto.com/pal/) and search 'barrel dolly'. They have 3 available for less than the $50 quoted. What's strange is the larger one is cheaper. I have the 23" one and it works quite well. Just had to lube the wheels a bit.

Not too hard to DIY something like this. Heavy duty castors, a sheet of plywood, a few nuts & bolts. Maybe not as pretty as the bought ones, but it will do the same job. Most hardware outlets will carry a variety of castors.

good idea, will end up costing more in the long run as a small heavy duty caster is 10 buck, the size I would use is 20 bucks. (bigger wheels make it easier to push around on the carpet)

Cut a piece of 3/4"-1" plywood into a circle that match the diameter of the base on your brute, then raise the center with another piece and throw some wheels on it.
