Over the course of the day, my brain coral has puffed right up and looks like it's going to explode. There's nothing around it that could be aggravating it. It's slightly shaded by a rock. I adjusted the rock earlier today but it's gotten bigger. Any thoughts, is this normal? I've had it for a few months.

It's on the sand in the middle of the tank. I'm not sure what kind, I got it from Snappy, it's red green and bluish. It's about 3 in tall right now, usually lays fairly flat, but wrinkly if that helps.

if its skin/color looks healthy and is feeding then it should be just fine:)

I was told they do that when they are happy. Deflated all the time is no good.

Pictures from last night and this morning, lights were off at both times. First one is from this morning. Don't mind the pink rocks....they were under the sand which has been blown to the corners....lol

Appreciate the input!

Looks happy and hungry. Do you spot feed it mysis or brine at all?

I haven't spot fed in a while, the cleaner shrimp are quite aggressive with the corals and dig food out of them, even if I feed them first. Been adding cyclops eeze and marine snow a few times a week.

Yeah that's normal from my experience. Mine inflates/deflates mostly depending on lighting but you're ok there!

If you can find one of those strawberry baskets and place it over your brain when you feed it, it will keep the shrimp off.
