Good or bad. Looks kinda fuzzy. Had grey to brown tones.

K got it. asterina star. This would explain a half eaten stag. Bye bye mr sea star

Wouldn't actually explain the half eaten stag. They do eat the dead flesh off of corals. Asterina is the correct ID though.

My tank is full of those stars and they don't bother anything. I do know someone who has asterina stars that are killing his zoas.

I disposed of it just the same. Wasn't willing to take the chance. It's the only one I've seen
If you see one, you probably have lots of them. Kinda like cockroaches.
