Ok so here it is. All are mounted about 8 inches off the water.

to they almost have the same brightness,I think to help better replace the far left Sol fixture as exactly by the Radion fixture and that should help you better at comparing simply by the pictures you take.
I am not sure about either of specs sheets on these fixtures, type of LEDs max power to individual LED and how many LEDs in each fixture and pricing of course.

I'm pretty underwhelmed by the Radion's spread. The way people were going on about it I was expecting a noticeable difference.

Based upon the look of the spread, I think you made the right decision....plus you now have $400 extra to spend on other stuff!

The Sol looks more diffused and spread out more evenly and the Radion hot spotting.
The spread on a radion cannot be compared to a SOL.
SOL have 70 degree optics and the Radions have no optics (120 degrees) simple math states the LED's on a radion have a 50 degree advantage over the SOL.
Glad to see you found one you prefer. How did you like the Radion Software over the SOL controller? I have heard the SOL controller kinda sucks.

The sol controller does what it has too. I set it once and left it. Works perfectly.
The radion software I played with for a couple days and then the coolness wore off and the I left it to just do what it does

Thank-you for posting this. I'm in a debate with myself on which to get so this helps out tremendously.

But the Radion has some red and green light that supposably make it a better light with better color overall.
YOu could also consider the JBJ Unibody that was a much better spread than the nano sol. If I will be going for a LED light, I will get the Unibody because it is stronger than the sol and has a better spread.
