I wonder why he used steel screws for the holder?

I wonder why he used steel screws for the holder?

"The screws are 1/4 - 20 by 2" Stainless Steel button head-allen with SS flat washers."

Stainless is okay with saltwater?

Stainless if fine as long as it's not in contact too much with the salt water. I use stainless screws and wingnuts on my beckett holder and thew work great. I used stainless because the wing nuts are much smaller when compared to plastic ones.

Why did I have to read that thread when I'm in the planing stages of my new system

I guess I need to tell the wife we cant get that big new fridge, we need more money for the tanks.
