Oh. Hmmm. That could well work out then.

I thought CITES applied to anything identified on their list, whether alive or not, whether complete or just a piece thereof or not, and stuff like that. For example, cuttings of plants still count, and seed pods, and etc.

But for RESEARCH. I have heard that even Appendix I can be superceded if it's for research purposes. However, I have no idea how to go about setting that up.

Let us know how it works out, if you find anything out and stuff like that, please? Thanks!

While I would TOTALLY love to help out Eric, and personally would LOVE to see more knowledge on this area ... there is one little problem. We in Canada cannot ship corals over the border without CITES documentation. A bit of a logistics and economics challenge, unfortunately. :(

Tony, I'm going to send anyways and call it research material. I don't think you need a cites permit for " Research Material". Once placed in a formalin solution, it no longer living coral.
