Just looking for advice. I'm thinking of starting this method as I want to use my reactor for carbon so anyone have advice? Things they wish they had known or done? And anything the sunny method might not cover that I should know

I am week three of VSV dosing. Working like a charm to far but I've been getting diatoms for the past few days and no idea why yet. But it's dropped my nitrates from 10 ppm to 3 ppm in about 1.5 weeks.

Just go slow and test, test, test.

I'd start dosing MB7 for 2 weeks before starting vodka to get a good bacterial base. I occassionaly use other companies bacteria (Prodi-bio, Zeo) to increase diversity of bacteria also.

Like ScubaSteve I also like the VSV (vodka-sugar-vinegar) on Glassbox Designs.com as opposed to just vodka.
