I can't help but face palm myself after seeing what some people are posting.

Here's a quick tutorial:

You're- means "you are" (you're stupid for not knowing this)
Your- refers to something that belongs to the person you're talking too(your reef tank)

Their- when something belongs to someone (their reef tank)
There- referring to a place (look over there)
They're- means "they are" (they're really nice people)

We're- means "we are" (we're really nice people)
Were- past tense of "to be" (they were just here)

This is a period. It allows the reader to know when one sentence finishes and when the next is about to begin

Lose - To come to be without. ( I hope I don't lose my wedding ring when I go swimming in the lake. )

Loose - Not fastened, restrained, or contained. ( I'm searching for loose change around the house, so I can buy a coffee on my way to work. )

http://damnyouautocorrect.com/13603/the-25-funniest-autocorrects-of-dyacs-first-year/ This was a pretty good laugh and a great example of auto correct's bad word choice. Some in fact most are probably fake, but I can for one say that I have asked my wife to find my good shirt, and it corrected to "Good ****"

There is some literary douchebaggery going on here. First of all I doubt many people here have the background in language to really be in the finger pointing chair, I know I don't. My freaking English instructor in my Mechanical Engineering Degree needed to look things up from time to time. Not to mention there is differences depending on where your English is coming from. Go to England and see if your commanding view of language gets you far there. The second issue with the topic is we are Canadian, there is a plethora of diversity in this Country. Now many will say that you need to learn the methods of the country you live in, which is true to some point. Hopefully there aren't people like that when you travel abroad and are unfamiliar with the customs and language.

There were a lot of "you's" in there that are not directed at anyone. Speaking in generalities.

I did work in Fort Mac a couple of years ago and we had a couple of guys from Newfoundland doing some work for us. My boss met up with them with questions - they had a discussion between themselves, my boss could not understand a word they said, turned to him and spoke perfectly fine. Marko,

It would be spectacular if you could learn to word, spell, and punctuate all of your posts correctly before criticizing anyone else for it. You complain about people misspelling simple words and having poor punctuation... what the heck? In this thread only, you missed a minimum of 10 periods, botched capitalization (used when not required or missed when required) several times, and have a couple sentences that are poorly worded. Additionally, you incorrectly tried to correct someone else's grammar.

Your incredibly whiny on the forum... 'can-it' man.

All the best,

Chris

P.S. If you are serious about the 'issue', do not slip up in writing quality yourself, and if you do not feel the matter is serious, stop correcting everyone over it. ;)

You can't see anyone else's opinion ever. You are ALWAYS right when you post things. You go back and forth between one side of the arguement and the other. You are a hypocrite in this very thread even, a know-it-all in other threads (and yet were a total noobie not too long). You also post with an arrogant attitude. And finally you've made me jump through hoops (ask a million questions and commited to buying something from me) TWICE back near the time you signed up, and bailed last minute both times (I only realized this was you after i started to notice an attitude trend with you, when going back through old PM's)

Get it together...

YOU are the idiot complaining about spelling. If its not so serious, quit correcting everyone.

Take the stick out of your rear and get off your high-horse.

Man... these are straight from your mystery wrasse thread. You are one heck of a writer. And you dont even know the name of your own 'solaris' wrasse? Ok Mr. know-it-all. ;)

Put a mystery wrasse in my tank yesterday and have it seen it since.

Not in the overflow and not in sump.

Tank is completely covered with canopy

Do these guys usually hide a lot?

"have it seen it since"... nicely done. You missed the period behind "canopy".

thats weird. my solaris wrasse is the most active fish in my tank. and always the first to eat

That post just sucks, no capitals, terrible punctuation, sentence fragment present, no apostrophe behind "that's". (even though you complained about apostrophes for "You're". And what on earth is a "solaris" wrasse? It is spelled solarensis.

Go ahead, try to correct all my posts now since you feel you are some kind of God-like figure. Or get your story straight and drop it if its not really 'serious'.

Wow you guys really need to clean the salt creep out of your viginas. Getting all moody over nothing.

How can you read the title: grammar "edumacation" and think this is such a serious thread. I never said my grammar was perfect, but I at least know the difference between your and you're.

And mr funky Fish when I was new here I had no idea where you were located. And I don't know if you're holding a grudge or something. But even if you lived right down the street I'd still have the right to change my mind.

You obviously oblivious to the notion of "kidding around".

Read the first few pages of this thread. people replied with other funny links. Purposely made silly gramatical mistakes.
Everyone understood what this was. Until some people, and eventually you, came in here and started with your "meow meow meow"
