We're considering the possibility of custom building an all-in-one, under 40g. Can anyone recommend a tank builder?

TIA :)

Do you ever go to Calgary? I "never" go to Calgary, but I still got Concept Aquarium in Calgary to build my custom tank. Great builders.

Hi Myka,

I haven't been to Calgary in the last 30 years - eek! I'll keep them in mind though if no one around here can do it. If we decide to go in that direction, that is.

What did they build for you?

Upgrading already!?!?!

Might as well go bigger than a 40gal Bev!

+1 on Neil... great tanks and he's local.

Wow! Thanks for the PMs.

As I said, we (meaning me) are just thinking about it. Our 10g is running perfectly at the moment and it would be a shame to upgrade to something that's beyond my ablility to look after it with ease and pleasure.

I'm going upstairs now to gaze into the wonder of our beloved 10g. There are new frags everywhere after the pre-Christmas sales :)

I doubt there's any upgrades left for me but if I ever downgraded concept would be building it. Cuts, seams and overall finish is the shiznit.

But remember! With small tank come great responsibility! big tank = less chance of water problems! I'm upgrading my 20g in a years time I hope to a 125-250g havent quite decided yet!

So true. A few years back we had a 180g :drinking: That's why I don't want to go too big. Time and money are big factors for us.

But takes forever

He got my tank done when he said he would. It took a month but he was in Italy on holidays during that time as well. Beautiful job on the tank, starphire on 3 sides and external overflow. Now I just have to finish my stand and build a sump.

I would also recommend Dave if you're not in a hurry. I'm still waiting on a few of the finishing details. He built me a 150G display starphire front/sides/brace, custom sump (his design) and a reservoir partitioned into two. I will post pics as soon as I get it.

His attention to design and detail is why I stuck with him. So a trip to Calgary is well worth it; again if you're not in a hurry.
